Clip length, access and output settings
The length setting describes the finished clip, not the time required to generate it. A 5-second choice is not a promise that a result will be ready five seconds after you submit it.
Portrait, landscape and square describe framing rather than pixel resolution. Check any quality or audio option separately. A character voice does not automatically add speech, music or lip synchronization to a video.
| Setting | What to check |
|---|---|
| Video length | 5-second and 10-second choices; confirm the selection for your request |
| Access | A subscription-unlock notice can apply to video; the image trial is separate |
| Listed cost | 20 tokens for video; review the actual total before submitting |
| Framing | Portrait, landscape or square, not a fixed pixel specification |
| Audio | Use only the audio capabilities explicitly offered for the video request |
Choose the video route and check the request
For image-based animation, prepare your character picture first. Keep the shot brief beside you so the motion instructions remain connected to the source.
- Open the generator and select video generation.
- Choose the existing character or image you intend to animate.
- Describe the action in plain language without assuming a dedicated camera slider or special command.
- Read the video settings and token cost before submitting. Check the duration and size options actually offered.
- After a result is available, review the whole clip for scene changes, unwanted details and whether the action makes sense.
Budget for media rather than message volume
The listed rates are 20 tokens for a video and 2 for an image. Two individual image requests followed by one video would total 24 tokens at those rates. Confirm each request's charge and set a spending limit before proceeding.
Ultimate includes unlimited messages, not unlimited videos. Monthly coins and media token costs are listed separately. Before budgeting for clips, check how your account uses coins and tokens, then review the charge for each request. Ask support if the conversion is unclear.
Check the output and the permitted use
Look at the beginning, middle and end, not just the thumbnail. Check any audio track before planning a talking scene. If you intend commercial use, read DarLink's terms first: its standard terms restrict use to personal entertainment unless a separate agreement permits otherwise.
In Recent Generations, select the video filter and check the My or Everyone view. Use the relevant view when looking for a completed request, and confirm its visibility rather than assuming every result is either public or private.
Questions
How much does a DarLink video cost in tokens?
The plan comparison lists video generation at 20 tokens. A new source image has its own listed cost, so check the charge for each request rather than treating them as one bundled action.
Can I generate unlimited free videos?
No unlimited free video allowance is stated. The image generator offers a trial, while video can require a subscription and has a listed token charge. Check the video access notice and request total; an image trial does not establish free clips.
What video duration and resolution will I receive?
The video length controls list 5-second and 10-second options. Check the duration available for your request and its total cost. Portrait, landscape and square describe framing, not pixel resolution; check output quality separately.
Are sound, music and spoken dialogue included?
Do not plan on them without an explicit audio option or specification. Voice choices for companions do not establish a video soundtrack, music generation or synchronized dialogue.
Does an NSFW or uncensored label mean every video request is allowed?
No. DarLink is an adult service, but its content rules still apply. Do not use real people's private images or create material involving minors or non-consensual sexualization. Ask support if a proposed use is unclear before submitting it.
Should I submit the same request again if it seems delayed?
First check the status and balance shown in your account. Avoid duplicate requests while the outcome is unclear, and use the official support route if a charge or result needs clarification.
